THERE IS A CHURCH 50th Anniversary Hymn Tune: Love Divine There's a church on western plains Trondhjem is it's given name. It was built to serve Lord Jesus, And served fifty years The Same. On the sea of worldly struggle Stands her spire like a mast, Proud that she could guide souls weary For the fifty years that have passed. She has watched through joy and through sorrow She still stands for all that is right. Though each day her walls are aging.. She will guide our steps aright. But this church, this servant of Jesus Is not satisfied, it seems To serve God a hundred years Now is Trondhjem's prayerful dream. Written for Trondhjem's Golden Anniversary July 8 and 9, 1945 by Julien J. Meyer This Church is south of Rosholt, S.D. Julien was baptized and confirmed here. His parents were the first couple married in this Church. Julien was baptized by Rev. Haugen and con- firmed by Rev. Falk. The pastor serving the congregation in 1945 was Rev. A.H.G. Gjevre.
