LIFE
What time is it?
It's time to be born
With pink or blue ribbons
We soon are adorned.
We may cry a bit when hunger sets in
A formula and then we're happy again.
What time is it?
It's time to just play
As we go along waiting
For every new day.
Now we're responsible for little jobs,
And mother's hand still soothes our childish sobs.
What time is it?
It's time to grow tall
In our glory of youth
Yes we know it all.
We're breaking away from mother and dad
To become independent really isn't half bad.
What time is it?
It's time to earn cash
So we can have things
During life's maddening dash.
So we can improve on our standard of living
And yet not forget that in life there is giving.
What time is it?
It's time for a mate
And now for the wedding
We must set the date
And invite our friends and relatives too
So they can be present when we say "I DO'9.
What time is it?
There's no time for us
Too busy with meetings and club work and fuss.
We hurry through life at a terrible pace
Keep running around till we're blue in the face.
What time is it?
It's time to retire
Before all the wind from our sails doth expire.
Time to relax and take a deep breath
After a chase that nearly meant death.
What time is it'?
It's time to recall
The beautiful thoughts from memories hall.
Time to enjoy the things that have been.
We were too busy to enjoy them then.
What time is it?
It's time to depart
No time for regrets, nor a heavy heart
For I know my Redeemer will save me from sin
When He swings the gate open, I'll gladly walk in.
