TRIBUTE TO JULIEN J. MEYER

                 IN MEMORIAN

         Of all the treasured riches
         there's none that can compare
with the helping hands of friendship
         that show they really care.

"What is a friend?" I asked myself
as I lay there in that bed.
The answer came back loud and clear
And this is what it said.

A friend is someone who will take
the time to help your wife
when she attempts to carry out
         your daily chores of life.

A friend is someone who will take
the time a note to send
when you are flat upon your back
or while you're on the mend.

A friend takes time to visit you
when you are down and out
and tries to build your spirits by
         the things he talks about.

A friend will oft' remember you
         with flowers or a gift.
What e'er the gesture that is made
         it gives that extra lift.

And so I got to thinking
         I'm fortunate indeed
to have so many concerned friends
that help in time of need.
